The airy apartment offers some interesting architectural features and is appointed with contemporary furniture. Built on the hillside, the entrance stairs lead directly into the open-plan living space. This is furnished with a sofa, large bean bag and a dining table. The kitchen is adjacent to the living area, separated by a small breakfast bar with two stools, ideal for a quick snack. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a Dolcegusto coffee machine. A floating staircase leads up to the higher floor. Here, guests will find another seating area with a corner sofa, a laptop-friendly workspace, flat-screen TV. This airy room enjoys a panoramic view over the rooftops to the harbour. Sleeping Bedroom: The bedroom is upstairs and has no door separating it from the seating area, but is tucked behind a partition wall. It is furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. Extra: There is a single bed (80cm) wide, which would suit a child but not an adult. Mali Losinj dates from the 12th Century, and is famous for its large harbour. The town is blessed with some beautiful Renaissance buildings, churches and monasteries. The Museum of Apoxyomenos is dedicated to an ancient Greek statue which is almost completely intact. The Aromatic Garden is not only a fragrant retreat but also serves delicious local food. For self-catering, in addition to supermarkets, there is a small daily market in Mali Losinj and an excellent fish market where you can purchase the freshest fish to cook at home. There are several water-sports schools on the island where visitors can learn to sail, windsurf or surf, and the pristine sea means that there is excellent visibility for snorkelling and scuba diving. Away from the water, you can parachute, rock climb and take a cycle tour through unspoiled countryside. Rijeka Airport is the nearest airport, reached via a ferry (2 hours 10 minutes) or Pula Airport (3 hours 5 minutes), via a longer ferry journey.
