Location The property sits in the hills above Serramazzoni, a 5-minute drive from the town's restaurants, cafés, bars and supermarkets, with chestnut woods and open countryside on the doorstep. Modena is a 45-minute drive, home to the Enzo Ferrari Museum and the city's UNESCO-listed historic centre, its Cathedral, Piazza Grande and Torre Civica among the highlights. The Salse di Nirano nature reserve, known for its unusual mud volcanoes and geological formations, is around 30 minutes away, and the frescoed halls of Sassuolo's Ducal Palace are also within easy reach. The local table draws on old mountain traditions too, think chestnut-based dishes, handmade tigelle and borlenghi, calzagatti, Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegar, best paired with a glass of Lambrusco.
