Antibes railway station is an 8-minute walk. From here, there are regular train services along the coast. Antibes is packed with things to do. Its world-famous marinas, Port Vauban and Billionaires’ Quai (Quai des Milliardaires), are a 10-15 minute walk from the residence. These are very good places for people-watching as well as admiring the super-yachts moored here in the summer season. The historic old town (10-minute walk) is packed with excellent restaurants and tempting boutiques. Visitors can wander through the narrow streets, enjoying Antibes’s history and the Musée Picasso (14 minutes) is not to be missed. For self-catering the town has 2 markets. The Provençal market on Tuesday mornings, (11 minutes) is where you can pick up local specialities and fresh fruit and vegetables. The Farmers’ market (Saturday morning) is the place to go for organic and local produce. Out of season, there is plenty to do and enjoy, taking advantage of the Côte d’Azur’s mild climate. When the crowds have gone home, the villages and towns slow down and life is lived at a more relaxed pace. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is just 26 minutes away.
