French windows lead out to a private balcony with a table and chairs. Here, guests can enjoy the view out over the forest and mountains. The residence has a large indoor swimming pool (open 9am to 8pm), gym, sauna, children’s indoor play area, café and ski shop. It is a short walk to the ski lifts and the ski slopes. Guests can ski in and out of the residence. The slopes around Vallorcine are suitable for skiers of all levels. There are also 10km of cross-country skiing trails, which will suit beginners and experts alike. All the facilities of the Chamonix region are on your doorstep, as Vallorcine railway station is just a 2-minute walk from the residence. The Swiss border is a four-minute drive from the residence, and a minute beyond that is the Parc Vallée du Trient, with its breathtaking views and treks. The famous Montreux jazz festival on the shores of Lake Geneva, takes place early July and is just 1 hour away. During the summer season the valley is full of fun activities: stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, climbing and horse riding. The bike park in Balme is open during the summer months. The area is famous for its flora and fauna, particularly the butterflies in the flower-filled alpine meadows. The village of Vallorcine has several restaurants and cafés which cater to various ages and budgets. For self-catering there is a weekly market (every Sunday morning) in Argentière (10 minutes drive) Geneva Airport is a 1-hour 30-minute drive away.
