A ski school, ski hire shop and a handful of restaurants are all about a 6-minute walk, and the village itself, with its Alpine church and cafés, is a short walk away too. Chamonix town, with the Aiguille du Midi cable car, shops and museums, is about a 15-minute drive or 20 minutes by regular bus. For summer visits, the Petit Balcon Nord trail and a section of the Tour du Mont Blanc both start within a 10 to 15-minute walk, and the Accro Adventure Park and Lac des Gaillands, popular for climbing, are around 23 minutes by car. Annecy, the "Venice of the Alps," makes for a scenic day trip at around 1 hour 30 minutes' drive. Geneva Airport is roughly an hour and a half away by car, and regular buses connect Argentière to Chamonix and the wider valley.
