Inside, terracotta floors and exposed-beam ceilings set a rustic tone, and a bright French door frames the view from both the living room and the bedroom. The open-plan living room has a sofa bed, a flat-screen satellite TV and a dining table, beside a kitchenette with a gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, an American coffee maker and a moka pot for your morning espresso. Across the hamlet, a fenced pool with a solarium, a large fenced garden and a shared barbecue with a dining area keep the days easy. Free Wi-Fi, private parking and an independent entrance round off a carefree stay. Sleeping Bedroom 1: A traditional wrought-iron double bed and a wardrobe furnish this cosy bedroom, which shares the apartment’s lovely view. Extra: The double sofa bed in the living room can be used for sleeping. Bathroom Bathroom 1: The bathroom has a shower, bidet, washbasin and WC. Heating of 25 EUR per day, from 15 October to 15 April, is to be paid at booking. Cleaning of 90 EUR per stay is to be paid at booking. A tourist tax is to be paid at booking. A credit card security deposit of 250 EUR is required, from which any damage or extraordinary cleaning costs will be deducted. Location The apartment lies in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in the province of Florence, between Castelfiorentino and Certaldo, the birthplace of Boccaccio. The Castello di Oliveto winery is a 10-minute walk or 2 minutes by car, and two supermarkets are less than a 10-minute drive away. Certaldo, where a funicular climbs to the medieval upper town and its breathtaking views, is 10 minutes by car, as is Castelfiorentino. San Gimignano is 25 minutes away and Volterra 45 minutes. Further afield, Siena and Pisa are each about 50 minutes by car, and Florence and Lucca about an hour. The beaches of Versilia on the Tuscan coast are around 1 hour and 15 minutes away. The nearest international airports, Florence and Pisa, are both about a 50-minute drive from the property.
