For something unexpected, the Šumber Dunes are about 10 minutes away by car. A walking trail winds through bare, sculpted marl dunes, a lunar-looking landscape few visitors expect to find in Istria's wooded countryside. Labin's old town is 17 minutes by car, and the beaches of Rabac, including Maslinica, are about 24 minutes away. Supermarkets, as well as the fish market and the local market, are located in Labin. For day trips, the hill towns of Hum, Buzet and Motovun are 39 to 45 minutes away by car, and the Vojak peak in Učka Nature Park is 44 minutes away.
