The area was densely populated in ancient times, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds found both on the coast and in the hinterland. Remains of a Roman villa from the 1st century were found on the sea shore, and the remains of an ancient olive oil mill were found in the immediate vicinity. The car is recommended.
