It is just 1.5km from the beach of Cala Sassari, one of the area’s most beautiful beaches. The apartment, built in a traditional style, is surrounded by greenery and extensive gardens. The open plan living area has two sofas, flatscreen TV, a dining table and the kitchen, which is separated by a pretty tiled divider. The kitchen is well-equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer and coffee machine, making self-catering a breeze. A glass door leads out onto the private balcony which is furnished with a table and chairs, so guests can enjoy relaxed meals al fresco. The quieter town of Pittulongu (6 minutes) has a lovely, family-friendly beach, as well as relaxed trattorias and cafés. The larger port of Olbia (15 minutes) makes a great day trip. Here you can explore vibrant farmers' markets held three times a week. The Saturday market in Via Sangallo is particularly recommended. The island of Tavolara is well worth a day trip for hiking, swimming and lunch at the famous Da Tonino restaurant, run by the island’s current king. Olbia airport, is just a 20-minute drive.
