The area is a popular wine destination and home to some of the best wineries in Slovenia, visitors will find four local wineries that are situated within 15-minutes walk of the property. It is also possible to rent bicycles to explore the surrounding villages. In the summer guests can head to the Adriatic coast and spend the day on Marina Julia beach in Italy (a 45-minute drive away). There are also two beautiful courses nearby, Golf Vipavska cesta (a 25-minute drive) and Golf & Country Club Castello Di Spessa (a 15-minute drive). Other popular excursions include a visit to the oldest Lipizzaner horse stud farm in Europe, (a one-hour drive) or a trip to explore the UNESCO-protected Škocjan Caves which are both a one-hour drive away. The closest international airport is Aeroporto di Trieste - Friuli Venezia Giulia, (TSF) in Italy approximately a 35-minute drive away.
