A day trip on the Lago di Lugano is not be missed, neither is a trip in the funicular railway up to Monte San Salvatore (a 45 minute walk along the lakeside), with breathtaking views over the lake. Lugano has a rich cultural life. It has a fine Renaissance Cathedral, San Lorenzo (25 mins walk), as well as many excellent museums. There is plenty to do before relaxing at one of the city’s world-class restaurants and cafés. For business travelers, the apartment is just an 11 minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18 minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano. The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25 minute walk from the apartment.
