The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20 minutes walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. From there, an aperitif in Piazza della Riforma, the heart of the city, is a relaxing way to end the day. If you prefer to cook yourself, then Lungano’s farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (20 minutes walk) is the place to go to pick up the best ingredients.
