MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20-minute walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. Not to be missed is a day trip on the Lago Lugano. If you prefer to stay on land, take a stroll along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. Then head to the heart of the city, Piazza della Riforma (22 mins walk) for a coffee or aperitivo in one of the many cafés that line the square. The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25-minute walk from the apartment.
