Anna was a great host who was very helpful throughout our stay, before and after. She helped to pick up groceries from the local store (this has a charge), and put everything away for us. We had hired a private chef for a special dinner on the night of arrival, Anna was at the villa to let him in, help with the set up and even proactively rearranged the dining table to be out on the terrace - it was so lovely having our meal overlooking the pool and serene lake. The villa is picturesque with beautiful sweeping gardens and is very private and secure behind gates. The only difficult part was locating the villa on google maps and Uber but once we were there it was easy to provide drivers directions and we often used the same car service. It’s close enough to old town, the port and main Marbella, whilst still enjoying the serenity of the suburbs. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Very nice Cortijo, but requires a little love and care. Rooms need to be touched up, paint wise. Fridges are quite old and require change. Had a problem with one of the bathrooms, and although the team were kind enough to try to assist, it rendered one bedroom in a non usable state. Beautiful gardens, pool area.

There were so many issues with this booking, In fact due to the terrible attitude of the happy rentals employee replying via air bnb (not the listed host) I would have cancelled before the trip if possible. Rude, unhelpful self righteousness replies to a simple request re check in time. On arrival we pressed the ‘get directions’ tab on air BnB only to be led to a spot over 30 minutes from the villa. The host was helpful and provided correct directions once informed but an unnecessary, annoying detour. When we got to the villa we were shocked at the state of it. Very dusty and grubby and exposed wires. We were travelling with two children, one disabled and the host new this. A cleaner was sent the next day but left after an hour stating they had another appointment. Host then sent another more professional crew the next day who did a great job but this was now 3 days into our holiday. Intermittent water supply and broadband that was flaky and failed completely last 2 days.
