The residence is known as Dimora dell'Antico Porto and is right by Lake Maggiore in the Piazza del Popolo, the oldest square in Arona. The location could not be prettier, it is next to the 14th century harbour and opposite a charming church which dates from 1592. The building's 16th century arches and wrought iron balconies bear the arms of the Borromeo family, which adds to one's sense of history. The holiday home is decorated to showcase the original stonework of the structure keeping both history and luxury in mind. The beautiful residence comfortably accommodates groups of up to 4, which makes it the perfect location for your city break. On entering, guests will find a bright and airy open-plan living space. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven and fridge freezer everything you need to entertain or for a meal on the go. The living area is furnished with a large comfortable sofa, a High-Definition TV with satellite connection and an elegant dining table with chairs. The apartment benefits from air conditioning in the summer and electric radiators in the winter, making it a perfect year-round residence. Wi-Fi is also available. The apartment is centrally located with local bars and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. Although a car is not required, public parking is available for a small fee. Location The town of Arona is a charming spot with a lakeside promenade, wonderful streets to discover and offers breathtaking views of the lake and mountains beyond. Situated in Piazza del Popolo, the apartment is a stone’s throw away from wonderful bistros, bars and restaurants and you can enjoy culinary influences from France, Switzerland, and Italy of course, suited to all budgets. A hillside path leads from Piazza del Popolo to the home of the towering statue that stands overlooking Arona`. Nestled amongst gardens and chapels this was the Sacro Monte di San Carlo was once the tallest in the world. Take the ferry and visit the small islands of Isola Bella and the Palazzo Borromeo, the imposing 17th Century palace, and its famous gardens. Milan’s Malpensa is the closest airport to the Apartment, with connections to all major European cities. The airport is about 30km away and is a comfortable 40-minute drive.

We had a great 5 night stay at Incanto Sul Lago. The apartment is very comfortable with lovely views across the lake of the Rocca di Angera. The Piazza del Popolo is in the old town and has lots of nice restaurants just opposite the apartment, Aldo's being our favourite. We used public transport (trains and ferries) from Arona to visit Angera, Stresa and Milano which all worked smoothly. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this place. And the weather was perfect!

The location of the apartment is perfectly situated right near the Lago Maggiore, with a beautiful view of the lake. The instructions for check-in was very detailed. A free pass for the local parking was a big plus. The bathroom and kitchen was spotless clean, as well as the linens. The room temperature was perfect and managed remotely by the team. The team was always responsive in communication. We definitely recommend the apartment.

The apartment is very clean and the location is superb within Arona and the Lago Maggiore area. The attic area is a bit low to walk around, but works well for sleeping, especially for kids or smaller adults. The staff was very helpful before and during the stay.

Waking up to hearing the waves and enjoying the beautiful lake views daily was such a treat. Apt was clean, with the most comfortable beds of our entire trip to Italy. Note though location is in a busy pedestrian square - convenient for walking everywhere. We were not bothered by the noise, however others may feel differently. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here. The view of the lake from the windows was absolutely stunning, so much so that I got up early to see the sun rise over the lake. Very well placed with easy access to great restaurants and a small swimming beach is nearby. We came very easily by train from Milan we did not need a car. Train service to Stresa and / or boat .

Super séjour! Emplacement idéal, tout est accessible à pieds et il y a beaucoup de choix: restaurants, marchés, boutiques. Arona est magnifique et bien situé pour voyager. Les instructions sont très claires pour l’arrivée. Nous avons reçu plusieurs recommandations. Evita est très sympathique. Une bouteille de Prosecco a l’arrivée. Nous avons pu arriver un peu plus tôt dans l’appartement. Le stationnement est inclus mais non réservé, il se peut que durant le week-end vous deviez attendre un peu pour trouver une place. Le système de chauffage centrale fonctionne très bien. Le plafond est bas pour les chambres au 2e étage et l’escalier pour s’y rendre très étroit. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais à savoir pour ceux qui ont une mobilité réduite. Après la réservation, vous devez communiquer directement avec l’agence de location et non via la messagerie du site Airbnb. Je recommande cet appartement sans hésitation, je reviendrais avec grand plaisir!

Très content de l’emplacement. Arona est vraiment un super point de chute pour visiter le lac majeur . C’est magnifique. Dans l’appartement il y a un PASS qu’on met dans notre voiture pour se garer à un parking tout près et gratuit. Top 👍. L’appartement était impeccable. Les lits sont très confortables Nous aurions apprécié un balcon car le seul reproche que l’on peut faire à cet appartement c’est qu’il est dommage de ne pas pouvoir profiter de la vue sur le Lac. D’autres appartements du même immeuble ont un balcon. Même propriétaire Sinon Arona /stresa en 30 min voiture et une heure pour aller à Laveno où nous avons pris le petit télécabine. C’est à faire car vue magnifique. Et bien évidemment les îles Boromées Également à faire le lac d’Orta à 30 min également Et surement pleins de belles balades….

Un problema per noi, non giovanissimi, è stato salire per le scale i bagagli a mano per l'assenza dell'ascensore. Manca il microonde e anche una lettiera. Mancano tende per oscurare le finestre, sopratutto in camera da letto. Al ristorante Da Aldo si mangia molto bene.

We had a lovely stay here. The view of the lake from the windows was absolutely stunning, so much so that I got up early to see the sun rise over the lake. Very well placed with easy access to great restaurants and a small swimming beach is nearby. We came very easily by train from Milan we did not need a car. Train service to Stresa and / or boat .

Great place to stay right on the shore of the lake. Easy walk from the train station & lots of nice restaurants nearby. The apartment had everything we needed for a family of three & was lovely and clean. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Super séjour! Emplacement idéal, tout est accessible à pieds et il y a beaucoup de choix: restaurants, marchés, boutiques. Arona est magnifique et bien situé pour voyager. Les instructions sont très claires pour l’arrivée. Nous avons reçu plusieurs recommandations. Evita est très sympathique. Une bouteille de Prosecco a l’arrivée. Nous avons pu arriver un peu plus tôt dans l’appartement. Le stationnement est inclus mais non réservé, il se peut que durant le week-end vous deviez attendre un peu pour trouver une place. Le système de chauffage centrale fonctionne très bien. Le plafond est bas pour les chambres au 2e étage et l’escalier pour s’y rendre très étroit. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais à savoir pour ceux qui ont une mobilité réduite. Après la réservation, vous devez communiquer directement avec l’agence de location et non via la messagerie du site Airbnb. Je recommande cet appartement sans hésitation, je reviendrais avec grand plaisir!

A lovely apartment in an outstanding landscape. Very close to neighbouring cafes, restaurants and shops and just around the corner from a lovely promenade walk. We loved our stay! Perfect location with a beautiful view over the lake, right in the centre of the village. Very easy check in and check out - and helpful allowing us to leave bags after check in. Lots of helpful things in the apartment including kitchen items, and water and Prosecco on arrival! Absolutely lovely and would return!

Appartement charmant au cœur de la place du village, très belle vue sur le lac. Beaucoup de bons restaurants et bars au pied de l’immeuble. Seul bémol : très bruyant le soir (week-end). Pass parking inclus pratique. Au global une très bonne expérience !

Très content de l’emplacement. Arona est vraiment un super point de chute pour visiter le lac majeur . C’est magnifique. Dans l’appartement il y a un PASS qu’on met dans notre voiture pour se garer à un parking tout près et gratuit. Top 👍. L’appartement était impeccable. Les lits sont très confortables Nous aurions apprécié un balcon car le seul reproche que l’on peut faire à cet appartement c’est qu’il est dommage de ne pas pouvoir profiter de la vue sur le Lac. D’autres appartements du même immeuble ont un balcon. Même propriétaire Sinon Arona /stresa en 30 min voiture et une heure pour aller à Laveno où nous avons pris le petit télécabine. C’est à faire car vue magnifique. Et bien évidemment les îles Boromées Également à faire le lac d’Orta à 30 min également Et surement pleins de belles balades….

Un problema per noi, non giovanissimi, è stato salire per le scale i bagagli a mano per l'assenza dell'ascensore. Manca il microonde e anche una lettiera. Mancano tende per oscurare le finestre, sopratutto in camera da letto. Al ristorante Da Aldo si mangia molto bene.
