Free Wi-Fi and private parking are available too. Sleeping The comfortable bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, a double bed and a WC. One of the bedrooms also has a cosy hill-view terrace. Location In the area we recommend seeing the Mine Museum ( Massa Marittima ), San Galgano Abbey ( which is only 2 km from the Podere ), and the beautiful Roste di Montieri ( Montagne Rosse ). Don't miss also the ruins of the castle of Montemassi ( Roccastrada area, about 20 minutes by car from the Podere ), The Beautiful Thermal Baths of Saturnia ( 1 hour and a half by car ), Volterra ( 1 hour and 15 by car ) and San Gimignano ( 1 hour and 10 by car ). The central location of the apartment puts the guests close to other famous tourist destinations in Tuscany, being 1 hour and a half by car from the beautiful city of Art: Florence. In 50 minutes by car, you can reach the famous Siena, while in about 2 hours by car, you can reach Lucca with its beautiful walls that surround the historical centre. Sea lovers will be able to reach Follonica in only 30 minutes by car, while for those who would like to try the sea of Versilia, that part of the coast is about 2 hours away. Going down towards the south of Tuscany, the beautiful Castiglione della Pescaia is an hour's drive away. For those wishing to go beyond the Tuscan borders, going north, in 3 hours you will reach the Cinque Terre, while going south and into Lazio, in about 2 hours you will reach the capital of Italy: Rome. The nearest airport is Pisa about 2 hours drive away. Check-in time is from 4 PM to 8 PM and check-out time is 10 AM, please contact the owner as soon as possible to arrange check-in.

Nous avons passé une semaine chez Jolanda en Toscane. La maisonnette est rénovée avec goût et sur une petite ferme vraiment charmante. Nous étions seuls sur place avec la visite quotidienne des propriétaires pour s’occuper du potager de légumes et des poules. L’appartement peut accueillir jusqu’à 4 personnes sans problème. La ferme est à proximité de Il Gambellino. Nous avons visité plusieurs endroits à environ 1h30 maximum de route: Val d’Orcia, Florence, Volterra, ainsi que plusieurs villages à proximité en plus de sentiers de randonnée. La terrasse extérieure était très pratique en plus d’être jolie pour nos petits déjeuners au soleil ainsi que nos soupers de gastronomie locale. Jolanda nous a fait sentir comme chez nous avec un accueil chaleureux et un panier de tomates du jardin; nous avons adoré notre séjour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house looks exactly as shown in the photos, is well-equipped, and has all you need in the kitchen. The terrace and garden are a peaceful, secluded oasis in the midst of lush natural surroundings – perfect for relaxation and enjoying nature. During our stay, we experienced starry skies, a full moon, sun, rain, thunder, and diverse birds, animals, and insects. The location is off the beaten track, and the nearby hill towns and villages feel more authentic and less overtly geared to tourists than other parts of Tuscany. We especially valued the relative proximity to the coast without having to reside in a seaside resort. For us, this combination was perfect. Finally, the local hosts, Jolanta and her husband, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, generously sharing tomatoes and fresh eggs. They came by regularly to feed their chickens and tend the land, but were sensitive not to disturb us. We felt privileged to enjoy their house & surroundings.

Soggiorno eccellente! La casa si presenta come nelle foto, impeccabile e curata nel dettaglio, dotata di tutto il necessario anche in cucina. Lo spazio esterno della casa è un'oasi di pace, ideale per chi è in cerca di relax e natura. La posizione è ottima sia per godersi dei giorni isolati dal caos della città sia per visitare i bellissimi borghi nei dintorni. La proprietaria è gentilissima ed è stata molto disponibile con noi nell'accogliere le nostre richieste.

La casa si trova in una posizione molto bella, in una valle isolata e rigogliosa. Jolanda è stata molto disponibile a fornirci indicazioni per l'arrivo e ci ha fatto trovare una deliziosa crostata al nostro arrivo. Il check-in è stato semplice e flessibile. Jolanda e il marito lavorano nei campi circostanti alla casa, quindi è possibile incontrarli nella tenuta agricola o quando hanno bisogno di prendere degli attrezzi nella parte inferiore della casa. Il posto è assolutamente tranquillo, trovandosi in una posizione così isolata, quindi è l'ideale per chi, come noi, cercava silenzio, tranquillità e un cielo stellato. Forse unica pecca, l'arredamento interno della casa è più moderno e meno caloroso di quanto potrebbe essere un casale di campagna e manca un divano dove poter guardare la tv ma è comunque molto pulito e funzionale e le stanze sono luminose e affacciano sulla bellissima valle. La zona intorno è bellissima e siamo stati contenti del nostro weekend. Sicuramente consigliato.

Einrichtung: 2 Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenen Bad/Dusche mit sehr flacher Duschtasse (Betten bequem: 1 Zimmer mit Doppelbett, 1 Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten), 1 Wohnküche mit Fernseher, 1 Abstellraum, schnelles WLAN: 40-50 mbits/s Außenanlage: 1 Balkon, 2 geflieste Terrassen mit Gartenpavillon und Bierzeltgarnitur, zusätzlicher Bereich und Sitzgruppe für 4 Personen auf Fläche mit feinem Kies, Parkplatz Lage: ca. 1000 m östlich von Gabellino auf der SP 441 (Strada provinciale 441 Massetana), ca. 200 Meter oberhalb der SP441 über einen Schotterweg zu erreichen Ausflüge: Massa Marittima 16 km (20 min) mit sehr schöner Altstadt/Gastronomie, Strand (Follonica ca. 35 km, 35-40 min), Siena 50 km (50 min), Volterra 70 km (70 min), Florenz (105 km, 90 min) und Pisa 140 km (100 min) kann man z.B. auf Hin-oder Rückreise besuchen. Man ist der einzige Mieter, somit sehr private Atmosphäre, Die Vermieter (arbeiten abends in der Gastronomie) sind häufiger auf dem Acker, eine weiter Person kommt regelmäßig tagsüber kurz zur Versorgung von Katzen, die man selten sieht. FAZIT: Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter (Jolanta kommt ursprünglich aus Polen). Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt, für unsere Ansprüche konnten wir nichts Besseres finden. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, die Umgebung und Toskana ist traumhaft.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Wohnung war super und wie beschrieben. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, perfekt zum Entspannen. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Lovely house. Jolanta and her family were very kind. Quiet and tranquil place. Immersed in nature. Every evening/night you can literally see a group of wild boars with piglets and that's amazing. 35 minutes to great Piombino beach with huge parking space. Florence(Firenze) and Piza 1.5-2 hours. But I would recommend choosing this place not only to sleep but to spend time there. Evenings were amazing when the sun goes down and shines onto the nearby village that you can observe from the property. I also recommend visiting Massa Marittima (15 mins) and Prata (5 mins).

La zona intorno è bellissima e siamo stati contenti del nostro weekend. Sicuramente consigliato.

FAZIT: Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter (Jolanta kommt ursprünglich aus Polen). Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt, für unsere Ansprüche konnten wir nichts Besseres finden. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, die Umgebung und Toskana ist traumhaft.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Wohnung war super und wie beschrieben. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, perfekt zum Entspannen. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Lovely house. Jolanta and her family were very kind. Quiet and tranquil place. Immersed in nature. Every evening/night you can literally see a group of wild boars with piglets and that's amazing. 35 minutes to great Piombino beach with huge parking space. Florence(Firenze) and Piza 1.5-2 hours. But I would recommend choosing this place not only to sleep but to spend time there. Evenings were amazing when the sun goes down and shines onto the nearby village that you can observe from the property. I also recommend visiting Massa Marittima (15 mins) and Prata (5 mins).
