Easter culinary customs in Ticino

At Easter, there are many customs which revolve around food. In Ticino this is no different! From roasted lamb and hard-boiled eggs to the traditional ‘Colomba’ (a dove-shaped cake), there seems to be something tasty and nostalgic around every corner. One thing is for certain, it wouldn’t be Easter without one special Ticino ingredient…Swiss chocolate!

With a fantastic selection of chocolatiers in Lugano, Easter offers the perfect excuse to indulge. The most well-known brands of course are Lindt and Toblerone. If you fancy making a special chocolate-inspired outing, then the most exclusive Swiss chocolatiers in the city are Läderach and Vanini. Shoppers and self-proclaimed chocoholics will be able to purchase a bespoke hand-picked tray of souvenir chocolates!
