Sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft, mitten in den tollen Gassen der Altstadt und 2 Minuten vom See entfernt. Es war alles da was man für ein paar Tage so braucht. Unkomplizierte und schnelle Kommunikation mit Team von Happy Rentals. Das gegenüberliegende Restaurant Leon d Oro ist übrigens sehr zu empfehlen.

The rental is managed by Happy Rentals (HR) so whilst the property was very clean it was sparsely furnished and equipped. We booked understanding there was parking very nearby but this wasn't the case when we arrived - although a very good safe and secure car park, it was 7 minutes away which was awkward carrying luggage to and from. HR didn't offer to help with this! There was no welcoming folder with instructions or recommendations for things to do and restaurants in Riva. Whilst the location of the property is excellent for town, it is opposite a couple of restaurants and shops, so it was very noisy until closing and after, and then in the mornings for rubbish collection and street cleaning. The details also mention a cooker - but there is only a hob and no oven, which is restricting if you want to cook in - and part of the reason we booked an airbnb to have this flexibility. We were asked to split all the rubbish and recycling but were only in fact given two rubbish bags.

Located right in the heart of the historic old town, on the third floor. No aircon meant it got pretty hot, also because one of the many rules stated that windows could not be left open for ventilation during the day. When we arrived, we found the shower tray overflowing and not draining due to excess hair in the drain from previous guests. Also many surfaces were dusty and hadn’t been cleaned properly. The main issue, however, was the fact that the WIFI only worked in the evenings, and was turned off in the mornings. Considering the poor 5G signal in the Old Town this lack of connectivity created a major issue, both for us needing to jump on work-related calls, as well as for making plans for the day. Basically, we had to get out of the flat, sit in the car or wander down to the main square to get online. On our final day the staircase lighting failed and we had to use our mobile torches to make our way down three floors - with luggage. Overall, a very mixed accommodation experience.
