Auch Wandern und Outdoor-Aktivitäten sind beliebt: Der Savica-Wasserfall (7 Minuten mit dem Auto / 1 Stunde zu Fuß) ist über eine malerische Wanderung durch den üppigen Wald zu erreichen, und die nahegelegenen Gipfel des Vogel und des Triglav bieten einen fantastischen Panoramablick auf die Julischen Alpen. In den Wintermonaten wird Ukanc zu einem Paradies für Wintersportler. Das nahegelegene Skigebiet Vogel (13 Minuten zu Fuß) bietet hervorragende Möglichkeiten zum Skifahren und Snowboarden. Auch kulturelle Erlebnisse sind im Dorf und seiner Umgebung möglich. Sie können die lokalen Traditionen erkunden und in den urigen lokalen Restaurants traditionelle slowenische Küche probieren oder der Kirche St. Johannes der Täufer einen Besuch abstatten. Die Kirche liegt auf einer kleinen Insel in der Mitte des Sees und ist mit traditionellen Holzbooten, den sogenannten „Pletna“, zu erreichen. Der nächstgelegene Flughafen ist der Flughafen Brnik (LJU), der eine Autostunde entfernt liegt.

Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay! Our family absolutely loved our time at your chalet in Ukanc. The property is beautifully appointed and thoughtfully designed; we really appreciated the mix of cozy alpine charm (the wood paneling is beautiful) with modern comforts. Having three bathrooms was a huge plus for our group! The location is simply incredible. Being nestled right in the National Park, just minutes from the lake and the trails, allowed us to completely reset and disconnect from the hustle and bustle. We couldn't have asked for a better base to explore Lake Bohinj and the mountains. We hope to return someday!

This is a lovely home in a wonderful and relaxed setting. The host was very easy to communicate with and actively supported us when we were delayed checking in. The house was comfortable but some usual Airbnb basics such as salt and pepper were not provided. Four bedrooms upstairs were handy and the beds were comfortable
