Visitors will also find a popular cycle/pedestrian path that follows the perimeter of Lake Varese which is a 4-minute walk away. Arranged across the first floor of a historic two-story building this spacious apartment has a modern rustic interior with characterful exposed stone feature walls. The property also benefits from underfloor heating and enjoys a large open-plan living space. This area is furnished with a comfortable sofa, a smart TV, a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen fitted with; a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge freezer. This accommodation is also in easy reach of grocery stores and several restaurants on the lake. Varesse is known for its charming architecture, green spaces and parks including Estensi Gardens (a 14-minute drive). The town also has a rich cultural and historical heritage; the Basilica di San Vittore and Villa Panza (a 17-minute drive) are both worth visiting. Villa Panza is surrounded by beautiful gardens and houses a significant collection of contemporary art. Another popular excursion is a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sacro Monte di Varese which is a 16-minute drive from the accommodation and consists of nine beautiful 17th century chapels and a church. Two other significant lakes are also within reach, Guree Monvalle beach on Lake Maggiore is a 20-minute drive away and the charming town of Porto Ceresio on the Eastern shores of Lake Lugano is a 35-minute drive, near the Swiss border. The nearest international airport is Lugano Airport (LUG) in Switzerland approximately a 47-minute drive from the accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was lovely and in a great location. Doesn’t get too hot during the day, and the home was fully equipped with everything we needed. However the master bed was rather uncomfortable, something to take into consideration. Other than that we would definitely stay again!

Sehr schöne Wohnung, geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Haus liegt innerhalb eines historischem Quartiers, PIAZZA CHIOSTRO, umgeben von netten Einheimischen. Sehr ruhige Lage, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Aufgrund unserer geringen Italienisch-Kenntnisse gab es leider nur wenige ( aber herzliche ) Kontaktmöglichkeiten. Einkaufen 100m entfernt im ialienischen Laden.

Tolle Lage, fußläufig zum See, kleinem Tante Emma Laden und Tortencafé, toll renovierter Altbau: schön kühl, wenn Holzläden geschlossen gehalten werden, dann dementsprechend etwas dunkler, Nachbarschaft geht liebevoll miteinander um, schön diese kulturellen Besonderheiten zu erleben, sie sitzen und/oder stehen beieinander und unterhalten sich angeregt und im Kloster in Sichtweite wurden Samstag mehrere Paare getraut und dann gefeiert, wir haben uns darüber sehr gefreut. Die Ausstattung war sehr einfach gehalten, es hätte mehr Geschirr geben dürfen, die Einzelbetten sind für Hochgewachsene etwas kurz und das Doppelbett ist sehr einfach und leider war insbesondere die rechte Matratze sehr durchgelegen. Das Bad ist gut, der Wasserdruck etwas wenig, aber wir haben uns dennoch in der Villa wohlgefühlt. Der Kontakt zu Francesca war sehr unkompliziert.

The entire property is nice, very spacious and fully equipped. Also the terrace is great to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Thanks for the welcoming kit, it was much appreciated! A downside were the mosquitoes from the house. There were quite many in all of the rooms , trapped in spider webs or lying on the floors.
