Enjoy complete peace and quiet in Il Casaletto, a charming stone property which can accommodate 6 people, set on the hillside looking out over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The owners have taken every care to make guests as comfortable as possible both inside the house and outside. It is the perfect holiday escape for friends or family who want to relax in this stunning party of Tuscany. Il Casaletto consists of two separate buildings in well-planned gardens, which encourage outdoor living to the max. The central tower sleeps 2 people and the annex across the terrace can sleep 4. The entrance to the tower is up a traditional stone staircase as the living area is on the first floor. At the top of the stairs there is a pretty balcony furnished with a café-style table and chairs for morning coffee looking out over the unspoiled hills and the sea. Inside, there is an attractive open-plan living space, with a sofa, fireplace, flat-screen TV, dining table and fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and fridge/freezer. Wooden stairs lead up to the mezzanine bedroom. The annex, which is a single (ground) floor, has a spacious living/dining room with a sofa, dinning table and an attractive mix of modern and antique furniture. Through and archway, guests will find a small kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and fridge/freezer. The outdoor space is beautifully thought out. There is a large covered dining area where all the guests can enjoy meals al fresco. This is next to an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ, work surfaces and a sink. Opposite this, there is a built in shaded seating area, with large corner sofas and armchairs. Next to the tower there is a sunbathing terrace with sun loungers where guests can relax. There is another shaded seating area outside the annex - which is the ideal spot for reading or simply soaking up the surroundings. Sleeping Bedroom 1: On the mezzanine in the tower, this beautiful bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2: In the annex, this charming bedroom has a double bed with a large wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom 3: This second downstairs bedroom is also in the annex and is furnished with 2 single beds, plus a wardrobe. Bathrooms There are 4 bathrooms on the property. Two are en suite with the double bedrooms in the tower and the annex. There is a second independent bathroom in the annex. The fourth bathroom is on the ground floor of the tower. All are appointed with a shower, basin, bidet and WC. Additional • Free Wifi • Outside dining and seating areas • BBQ • Balcony • Private, fenced garden • Ceiling fans • Smart TV • Hairdryer • Child-friendly • Suitable for elderly guests • Washing machine • Private parking, car essential for your visit • Town tax to be paid locally €2/day/per person (14 years and over) for 7 days. Location The property is set in unspoiled countryside on the promontory of Monte Argentario. The area is known for its exceptionally mild climate. Surrounded by sea, it is connected to the mainland by a causeway and a man-made isthmus. Monte Argentario’s unique landscape offers wonderful hiking and cycling routes with panoramic views. Most visitors come to Monte Argentario for its unspoiled coves and beaches. Some have sunbeds and cafés others, such as Cala del Gesso (8 minutes) and Cala Grande (12 minutes), are off the beaten track and so quieter. There are two towns in Argentario. Porto Santo Stefano (8 minutes) is a popular resort. From here you can catch a boat to the island of Giglio which makes a great day trip. The town has all the amenities you need and hosts a weekly market every Tuesday. Here you can find the freshest local ingredients to cook at home. Monday is market day in Porto Ercole (20 minutes), the other town in Argentario and thought to be one of the prettiest towns in Italy. Narrow lanes lead to its Medieval centre. Both towns have a wide range of excellent restaurants to suit all budgets. The closest airport is Rome Fiumicino, a 1 hour 50 minute drive away.
