Live the Tuscan dream in this stunningly renovated 17th-century farmhouse, in the heart of the Chianti hills! Casale al Sole has been a refuge and a peaceful retreat for many years. It has magnificent views across unspoiled countryside and makes a wonderful holiday destination throughout the year. The house, which sleeps 6 people, has two floors. The ground floor includes a loggia and a wine room where guests can try the fine, local Chianti wines. Upstairs, there is another loggia with panoramic views across the vineyards and the village of Radda in Chianti. Here guests can enjoy meals al fresco. Indoors, the spacious living area retains the original terracotta tiled floors and high beamed ceilings. The living area is furnished with a sofa, wooden dining table and chairs and a large, open fireplace not working. The open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and Moka coffee maker. The garden is approximately 1 hectare and surrounds the house. There is a BBQ area with a table and chairs for relaxed meals. Sleeping Bedroom 1: This large bedroom includes its own private sitting area, with 2 sofas and a Smart TV. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and desk. Bedroom 2: The second bedroom has an antique, wooden double bed, with a wardrobe, sofa and Smart TV with DVD player. A door leads out onto a small balcony with wonderful views. Bedroom 3: Up 3 steps from bedroom 2, this charming room has a double bed with a sofa, large wardrobe and its own wood-burning stove. Steps lead from this room down to the 2nd bathroom Bathrooms Bathroom 1: Off the main living room this split bathroom has a basin in the first room and the second room includes a shower, bidet, washing machine and WC. Bathroom 2: Off bedroom 3, this large, stylish bathroom includes a full bath with showerhead, basin and WC. The road becomes narrower and steeper, so it is advisable to keep a steady pace without acceleration. It is not suitable for low cars. Location Despite its secluded location, the house is close to the village of Radda in Chianti (10 minute's drive) where guests will find various shops selling Italian handicrafts, typical local ingredients and delicacies. The house is in the heart of Chianti Classico which gives guests a wide choice of vineyards to visit for tasting and buying excellent local wines. All the gems of Tuscany are within easy reach, from Florence (1 hour), Siena (50 minute) and Arezzo (1 hour 10 minutes) to smaller towns like San Gimignano (50 minutes), famous for its medieval towers. For fashion lovers, the famous Mall in Incisa Valdarno (1 hour) is an Alladin’s Cave of discounted designer outlets from famous Italian brands, including Fendi, Gucci and Armani. Prada’s outlet, Space Outlet, is in Levane (38 minutes). The closest airports are Florence, (1 hour) or Pisa, which is 1 hour and 50 minutes away.

WUNDERBAR! Unser Aufenthalt in Le Vecchie war einfach wunderbar! Die alte, unglaublich großzügige toskanische Villa wurde mit viel Liebe restauriert, jeder Winkel des Hauses mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl gestaltet und eingerichtet. Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich einzigartig! Das Haus hat alles, was es für einen sorgenfreien Aufenthalt braucht: eine gut ausgestattete Küche, Spiele, Bücher, Regenschirme, zusätzliche Decken etc. Der riesige Garten ist wunderschön und gepflegt. Tisch und Bank aus Stein vor dem Haus laden zum gemütlichen Abendessen im Freien ein. Einen Minuspunkt vergeben wir für die teilweise sehr gewagten Elektroinstallationen der zwar sehr originellen, technisch aber eventuell nicht ganz einwandfreien Lampen! Zu Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes flog mehrfach die Sicherung, was uns einen gehörigen Schrecken eingejagt hat. Was tatsächlich nicht einfach zu bewältigen ist: die Anfahrt zum Haus über die steile und abenteuerliche Schotterstraße. Wir waren sehr froh, dass wir mit unserem SUV in Italien waren. Unserer Meinung nach ist der Weg mit einem normalen PKW - zumindest bei Nässe - eher schwer zu erklimmen. Ein großes Lob an Roberto, den Ansprechpartner vor Ort: Sturm und Dauerregen ließen einen Baum auf die Zufahrtsstraße fallen. Binnen kürzester Zeit wurde er mithilfe der örtlichen Feuerwehr entfernt und wir konnten wieder problemlos passieren. Dies war der einzige notwendige Kontakt mit dem Happy-Rental-Staff. Alles andere lief über die sehr guten, im Vorfeld zur Verfügung gestellten Informationen und Beschreibungen. Vielen Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Familie W., Wien.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Vecchie Villa near Radda Italy. The views from our villa were magnificent, olive trees and vineyards surrounding the property. It's a bit of a steep climb on the unpaved road to the property so drive slow and steady. I'd recommend guests get a vehicle with a sufficient ground clearance to avoid the ruts on the road. We experienced some rain, so it was nice to stay in for the day and play games and sample our many Italian food delights purchased at the local Coop grocery store. The beds were super comfy and being able to open all the windows and let the fresh air in was a treat. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to make meals, and we made coffee each morning in the Moka machine supplied by our guests. I'd give our stay 5 stars!

We rented a house in Radda in Chianti for a week. The house was as described in the listing. Loved that it was so close to town. We were thrilled with everything. The views were incredible and the property was amazing! We were sad when it came time to leave . It was a vacation of a lifetime!. We highly recommend the property . The Villa was beautiful and everything we imagined it would be! I'd recommend that travelers to the Villa rent a car that has a high clearance distance so that the car won't scrape bottom when you drive up the unpaved road to the Villa. Just a little suggestion, it would have been nice to have a small microwave in the unit so we could reheat food or warm things up without having to use the oven. The Villa grounds were stunning, and we often just sat outside and enjoyed the views. The beds were very comfortable, and we were able to open the windows to enjoy the vineyard air.

The house is located in a beautiful property, in a hill in the midst of beautiful vineyards, with a very nice garden and outside area and great views all around. It is in the middle of two lovely cities with excellent restaurants, right in the middle of the Chianti Classic region. It's a nice classic Tuscan house, but has a few issues regarding maintenance and cleaning, if the host sorts out these issues in the future it has all the potential for a 5 star Airbnb location.

The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful and in an amazing location. Waking up to a vineyard in the morning and looking across the countryside while relaxing with a glass of wine is how Radda in Chianti is supposed to be enjoyed. Everything about this place was exactly what was described, however, I feel like the preparation of the cleanliness of the house has some room for improvement. It has multiple light rugs that are laid out across the floors and therefore gathered dirt/dust. We were going to vacuum the house, however, when doing so the vacuum bag was overly filled and therefore not operational. Also, a few more basic supplies was needed then what was offered. Getting to the farmhouse is a little difficult. It is up at the top of hill, therefore, must have a car/SUV that is capable of making it up the dirt/rock road. Overall, I would recommend this place because the items listed above are very easy to correct. Also, Happy Rentals were very quick to respond.

The view from the hill was gorgeous. Evergreen trees, vineyards, forests. The house is big and pretty, so many nice touches inside and outside and the garden is huge and amazing. Nice area to sear and admire the view. Even sun-beds. It is fairly spacious and was very clean. It has a nice living room area that was ideal for late night movies watching and playing games. The beds were very comfortable. And the dining area was ideal. So many plates, cups, utensils. Dishwasher was there too. Overall a really lovely house with picture perfect environment, though there are few bits that I will have to comment on the “unhappy” section

Problème de débit d’eau courante ( petit filet d’eau en sortie des robinets des appareils sanitaires et de l’évier ) et de distribution d’eau chaude ( débit d’eau chaude entrecoupé d’eau froide) Bel emplacement, jolie villa ancienne mais très difficile d’accès ( accès peu carrossable difficile si vous n’avez pas un 4*4 ! ) Espérant pour les occupants futurs que ces problèmes de distribution d’eau soient résolus à l’avenir !

We loved and hated this place at the same time. Let me break it down for you... The location: BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING views! It was on a hilltop in the middle of a vineyard and we couldn't get enough of it! But getting there was treacherous! The road is in disrepair and needs some serious maintenance. Our SUV had trouble getting up the super steep, rocky, bumpy hill, and it made us really nervous and scared us every time we had to scale it. The grounds: The landscaping was beautiful, and we loved sitting outside and soaking up the views. The villa: It needs some serious TLC inside. We understand it's historic and old, but the electrical work was shotty and the area rugs everywhere were old and dusty and should be replaced. It just felt dirty. We did appreciate the history of this place, but it could be better.

Getting to the farmhouse is a little difficult. It is up at the top of hill, therefore, must have a car/SUV that is capable of making it up the dirt/rock road. Overall, I would recommend this place because the items listed above are very easy to correct. Also, Happy Rentals were very quick to respond.

The house was wonderful, exceeded expectations! However it was very cold in some rooms, we only got four towels even though 6 guests and there was no hairdryer which is very useful in winter

The view from the hill was gorgeous. Evergreen trees, vineyards, forests. The house is big and pretty, so many nice touches inside and outside and the garden is huge and amazing. Nice area to sear and admire the view. Even sun-beds. It is fairly spacious and was very clean. It has a nice living room area that was ideal for late night movies watching and playing games. The beds were very comfortable. And the dining area was ideal. So many plates, cups, utensils. Dishwasher was there too. Overall a really lovely house with picture perfect environment, though there are few bits that I will have to comment on the “unhappy” section

Problème de débit d’eau courante ( petit filet d’eau en sortie des robinets des appareils sanitaires et de l’évier ) et de distribution d’eau chaude ( débit d’eau chaude entrecoupé d’eau froide) Bel emplacement, jolie villa ancienne mais très difficile d’accès ( accès peu carrossable difficile si vous n’avez pas un 4*4 ! ) Espérant pour les occupants futurs que ces problèmes de distribution d’eau soient résolus à l’avenir !

We loved and hated this place at the same time. Let me break it down for you... The location: BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING views! It was on a hilltop in the middle of a vineyard and we couldn't get enough of it! But getting there was treacherous! The road is in disrepair and needs some serious maintenance. Our SUV had trouble getting up the super steep, rocky, bumpy hill, and it made us really nervous and scared us every time we had to scale it. The grounds: The landscaping was beautiful, and we loved sitting outside and soaking up the views. The villa: It needs some serious TLC inside. We understand it's historic and old, but the electrical work was shotty and the area rugs everywhere were old and dusty and should be replaced. It just felt dirty. We did appreciate the history of this place, but it could be better.
