Die Erdgeschosswohnung befindet sich in einem Gebäude namens „Dimora dell’Antico Porto“. Sie liegt direkt am Ufer des Lago Maggiore auf dem ältesten Platz der Stadt Arona, neben dem Hafen aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, der früher viel belebter war als heute. Die charmante kleine Kirche gegenüber der Residenz auf der anderen Seite des Platzes wurde 1592 erbaut. Bögen aus dem 16. Jahrhundert und originale schmiedeeiserne Balkone mit dem Wappen der Familie Borromeo tragen zum Charme dieses historischen Hauses bei. Im Inneren ist die Wohnung stilvoll eingerichtet und besticht durch unverputzte Ziegelwände, originales Steinmauerwerk und einen kühlen Terrakotta-Fußboden im gesamten Wohnbereich. Der gemütliche, offene Wohnbereich ist mit einem Schlafsofa, einem Flachbild-HD-Fernseher sowie einem Esstisch und Stühlen ausgestattet. Ein Weg den Hang hinauf führt von der Piazza del Popolo zum Sacro Monte di San Carlo (25 Minuten zu Fuß) und zum Koloss von San Carlo Borromeo, einer gewaltigen Bronzestatue des Heiligen Karl Borromäus. Eingebettet zwischen Gärten und Kapellen mit Blick auf den See war dies einst die höchste Statue der Welt mit einer Höhe von über 23 Metern. Location is great: by the lake and Piazza del Popolo which has several nice restaurants. Apartment had small terrace outside where it was nice to sit in the evenings with glass of wine and watch people and listen to singers of restaurants across the piazza. Beds were good, even the sofa bed in living room. Kitchen had all the equipment we needed and there were some salt, pepper, oil, tea and coffee to get started. Everything in appartement was clean and worked well. There was air conditioner in both rooms so we had good temperature even it was really hot outside. There is parking lot near (~100m / 1min), right outside of ZTE area. Also after parking lot, behind tennis courts there is pebble beach where we had refreshing swim. We had great stay and hope to have a change to stay again.

The location of the apartment is perfect. Although it is right in the heart of everything, on the edge of Piazza Popolo, occasional noise was not disturbing, as the bedroom faces the lake. From time to time we could hear a bit of partying from other apartments, but it did not bother us. If complete peace and quiet is a priority, it’s worth choosing accommodation outside the city center. 🙂 We stayed in the apartment around the turn of December and January, when there were nighttime frosts. The apartment was perfectly warm thanks to several radiators and good insulation. There also appeared to be two air-source heat pumps, so I believe the apartment would be comfortable even on hot summer days. The living room–kitchen area worked excellently. The sofa was very comfortable for daytime naps and could easily fit two people. The exterior door opening onto the living room was cleverly designed: it also functioned as a window when the outer wooden doors were left open. It was lovely to watch the constant flow of people on the square from there. The kitchen was well equipped; only a dishwasher was missing. This was not a major issue, as we ate out frequently. The bathroom was pleasant and everything worked well. A washing machine might have been useful, as we stayed for a week. The bedroom had a beautiful view of the lake. I did have to remove the curtains, as they blocked the view and could not be adjusted. This is something the host might consider solving differently. The double bed was high quality and very comfortable to sleep in. The apartment also has a small terrace facing the square. We didn’t use it much due to the cool weather, but in warmer conditions it would certainly be a lovely place to sit. The grocery store was about a 10-minute walk away, while the main shopping street, the lakeside promenade, and dozens of restaurants were even closer. Many thanks to the host — we had a wonderful stay!

The location couldn\'t be better, with a terrace facing the market square and a bedroom overlooking the lake, a grocery store a 10-minute walk away, dozens of restaurants, a shopping street, and a lakeside street, as well as market square events right next door.

Waking up with the lake view is the best thing. This place is exactly central of Arona and you can find restaurants around the hotel easily and the night time is really quiet to have a good sleep with the sound of the lake. There’s everything you need for your stay in this hotel. Come here to drink coffee and read a book with the lake view. Highly recommend :) And we will be back soon!

Die Einrichtung ist neuwertig und sehr gepflegt, die Küche hat alles, was man benötigt. Die Lage am See und an der Piazza ist sehr schön. Free Parking Pass und Lage Parkplätze sind sehr angenehm. Die Beschreibungen der Reisebermittlung und die Ansprechpartner vor Ort sind sehr lobenswert. Der Empfang und die Reinigung nach 5 Tagen Aufenthalt ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend.

The accommodation was on the second floor of a building right in the heart of the historic city centre; it was well-equipped, newly furbished and offered a beautiful view of the lake and the castle on the opposite bank. The balcony overlooked the lake, making it the ideal spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity of the house.

Goed ingericht appartement met een mooi terras aan het grote plein van Arona. Alleen in de middag is het te heet om op het terras te zitten. Waarom geen parasol? Verder staat in de beschrijving dat er uitzicht is op het meer. Die heb je alleen als in je bed ligt. Arona is een heel gezellig plaatsje.

Mooie stad Arona en gezellige eet en drink gelegenheden. Goede ligging. Contact via app was prima, ze reageren snel. Ook toen de airco het de eerste dag niet deed, kwam er meteen iemand om het te maken.

The location of the apartment is perfect. Although it is right in the heart of everything, on the edge of Piazza Popolo, occasional noise was not disturbing, as the bedroom faces the lake. From time to time we could hear a bit of partying from other apartments, but it did not bother us. If complete peace and quiet is a priority, it’s worth choosing accommodation outside the city center. 🙂 We stayed in the apartment around the turn of December and January, when there were nighttime frosts. The apartment was perfectly warm thanks to several radiators and good insulation. There also appeared to be two air-source heat pumps, so I believe the apartment would be comfortable even on hot summer days. The living room–kitchen area worked excellently. The sofa was very comfortable for daytime naps and could easily fit two people. The exterior door opening onto the living room was cleverly designed: it also functioned as a window when the outer wooden doors were left open. It was lovely to watch the constant flow of people on the square from there. The kitchen was well equipped; only a dishwasher was missing. This was not a major issue, as we ate out frequently. The bathroom was pleasant and everything worked well. A washing machine might have been useful, as we stayed for a week. The bedroom had a beautiful view of the lake. I did have to remove the curtains, as they blocked the view and could not be adjusted. This is something the host might consider solving differently. The double bed was high quality and very comfortable to sleep in. The apartment also has a small terrace facing the square. We didn’t use it much due to the cool weather, but in warmer conditions it would certainly be a lovely place to sit. The grocery store was about a 10-minute walk away, while the main shopping street, the lakeside promenade, and dozens of restaurants were even closer. Many thanks to the host — we had a wonderful stay!

The location couldn\'t be better, with a terrace facing the market square and a bedroom overlooking the lake, a grocery store a 10-minute walk away, dozens of restaurants, a shopping street, and a lakeside street, as well as market square events right next door.

Waking up with the lake view is the best thing. This place is exactly central of Arona and you can find restaurants around the hotel easily and the night time is really quiet to have a good sleep with the sound of the lake. There’s everything you need for your stay in this hotel. Come here to drink coffee and read a book with the lake view. Highly recommend :) And we will be back soon!

Die Einrichtung ist neuwertig und sehr gepflegt, die Küche hat alles, was man benötigt. Die Lage am See und an der Piazza ist sehr schön. Free Parking Pass und Lage Parkplätze sind sehr angenehm. Die Beschreibungen der Reisebermittlung und die Ansprechpartner vor Ort sind sehr lobenswert. Der Empfang und die Reinigung nach 5 Tagen Aufenthalt ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend.

The accommodation was on the second floor of a building right in the heart of the historic city centre; it was well-equipped, newly furbished and offered a beautiful view of the lake and the castle on the opposite bank. The balcony overlooked the lake, making it the ideal spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity of the house.

Goed ingericht appartement met een mooi terras aan het grote plein van Arona. Alleen in de middag is het te heet om op het terras te zitten. Waarom geen parasol? Verder staat in de beschrijving dat er uitzicht is op het meer. Die heb je alleen als in je bed ligt. Arona is een heel gezellig plaatsje.

Mooie stad Arona en gezellige eet en drink gelegenheden. Goede ligging. Contact via app was prima, ze reageren snel. Ook toen de airco het de eerste dag niet deed, kwam er meteen iemand om het te maken.
