Het appartement op de begane grond bevindt zich in een gebouw met de naam Dimora dell'Antico Porto. Het ligt direct aan de oever van het Lago Maggiore op het oudste piazza van de stad Arona, naast de 14e-eeuwse haven, die vroeger veel drukker was dan nu. Het charmante kerkje aan de overkant van het plein werd gebouwd in 1592. 16e-eeuwse bogen en originele smeedijzeren balkons met het wapen van de familie Borromeo dragen bij aan de charme van het oude huis. Binnen is het appartement stijlvol ingericht met zichtbaar metselwerk, origineel steenhouwwerk en een koele terracotta tegelvloer. De gezellige open woonruimte is ingericht met een slaapbank, een flatscreen digitale HD-tv en een eettafel met stoelen. In deze kamer bevindt zich ook de keuken die is uitgerust met een kookplaat, een magnetron, een koffiezetapparaat en een koelkast met vriesvak en die uitkomt op het terras. Slapen De slaapkamer heeft een ongelooflijk uitzicht op het meer en is ingericht met een tweepersoonsbed en een kledingkast. Locatie Het pittoreske stadje Arona ligt aan de westelijke oever van het Lago Maggiore, recht tegenover de Borromeïsche eilanden. Bezoekers kunnen de veerboot nemen (15 minuten lopen) en een bezoek brengen aan de kleine eilanden Isola Bella en het Palazzo Borromeo, het imposante 17e-eeuwse paleis en de beroemde tuinen. Arona heeft een promenade langs het meer en een goed bewaard historisch centrum met charmante straatjes en traditionele Italiaanse architectuur. Het appartement ligt aan de Piazza Popolo, op een steenworp afstand van heerlijke bistro's, bars en restaurants en je kunt er genieten van culinaire invloeden uit Frankrijk, Zwitserland en Italië. Een pad op een heuvel leidt van Piazza del Popolo naar het huis van de Sacro Monte di San Carlo (25 minuten lopen) en de Colossus van San Carlo Borromeo, een massief bronzen standbeeld van Sint Charles Borromeo. Verscholen tussen tuinen en kapellen met uitzicht op het meer was dit ooit het hoogste standbeeld ter wereld met een hoogte van meer dan 23 meter. Arona is ook een geweldige uitvalsbasis om andere charmante stadjes en attracties rond het Lago Maggiore te verkennen, zoals Stresa (25 minuten rijden), Verbania (40 minuten rijden) en de botanische tuinen van Villa Taranto (42 minuten rijden). Bezoekers kunnen ook heerlijk wandelen en mountainbiken in de nabijgelegen heuvels en bossen. De dichtstbijzijnde internationale luchthaven is Milaan Malpensa (MXP), op ongeveer 40 minuten rijden van de accommodatie.

Waking up with the lake view is the best thing. This place is exactly central of Arona and you can find restaurants around the hotel easily and the night time is really quiet to have a good sleep with the sound of the lake. There’s everything you need for your stay in this hotel. Come here to drink coffee and read a book with the lake view. Highly recommend :) And we will be back soon!

Mooie stad Arona en gezellige eet en drink gelegenheden. Goede ligging. Contact via app was prima, ze reageren snel. Ook toen de airco het de eerste dag niet deed, kwam er meteen iemand om het te maken.
