Een unieke kans voor een authentieke Toscaanse ervaring, in dit charmante huis in het hart van Castellina in Chianti. Dit prachtig gerestaureerde oude herenhuis is geschikt voor 8 personen en is een ideale uitvalsbasis om de glorieuze Chianti en de historische steden van Toscane te verkennen. De voordeur ligt net naast het centrale plein en is bereikbaar via een rustige privétuin met prachtig uitzicht over het omliggende platteland. Een elegante trap leidt van de entreehal naar het woongedeelte op de eerste verdieping. Met terracotta vloeren en antieke meubels heeft het appartement zijn oorspronkelijke charme behouden. De ruime woonkamer is ingericht met een bank en fauteuils, een open haard en een Smart TV. De aangrenzende keuken/eetkamer heeft een eettafel en een goed uitgeruste keuken. De keuken is voorzien van een kookplaat, oven, magnetron, vaatwasser, koelkast en koffiezetapparaat. Slapen Er zijn 4 mooie slaapkamers, elk smaakvol ingericht met antiek meubilair waaronder een tweepersoonsbed, kledingkast en ladekast. Elke slaapkamer heeft een eigen badkamer. Locatie Het huis ligt in het centrum van het dorp, in het voetgangersgebied, tegenover de kerk van San Salvatore en naast de oude ondergrondse wandelroute Via delle Volte, die langs de middeleeuwse muren van Castellina loopt. Het plein heeft verschillende restaurants en bars waar bezoekers de sfeer kunnen proeven. De locatie is ideaal voor een ontspannen vakantie met familie en vrienden. Het is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor gastronomische routes door de wijngaarden van de Chianti. Voor self-catering zijn de lokale markten een schatkamer met de beste lokale producten, van groenten tot kaas en olijfolie. Enkele van de mooiste steden en dorpen van Italië liggen binnen handbereik. Florence ligt op slechts 45 minuten afstand en biedt enkele van de mooiste galerieën, musea en architectuur ter wereld. Net als de steden Siena (30 minuten) en Pisa, met zijn scheve toren (1 uur, 30 minuten) en San Gimignano (40 minuten), beroemd om zijn vele torens. De dichtstbijzijnde luchthavens zijn Florence, op 45 minuten rijden, en Pisa, op 1 uur en 25 minuten rijden.

Magical place. Perfectly located right in the small town. This was my third time in this town, but first time staying at this Airbnb and it was just fantastic. Everybody in the town is so friendly, restaurants are great, and the coffee shops and grocery store are extremely inexpensive. This Airbnb is very spacious and the washer and dryer are great. It is across from a historical church that has bells that ring very often. That is not a complaint and zero problem for me, but if somebody’s a very light sleeper and wants to sleep past 7 AM, just bring some earplugs. That was one of the best parts about it for me. I was in the room closest to the church. There are three other rooms that are farther away and two of them that are tucked in the back of the apartment so I don’t think those rooms heard it much at all. Definitely a gem. Will stay here again.

It would have been nice to have a welcome pack of essentials such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar and some biscuits especially for someone arriving late at night. Other essentials could have been dishwasher tablets- there was only one- and washing up liquid and toilet rolls Some of the bathrooms did not have any toilet paper. The cleaner should have removed the dead sunflowers which were actually smelly. Finally the lounge furnishings soft chairs were adequate for 6 people as in our group but perhaps 2 more armchairs would be needed for 8 people. Good to have starter pack in bathrooms. This is by no means major criticism but hope it will helpful yo your management . Otherwise all fine and we had a great stay . Thank you.

The house is a beautiful old grand mansion right in the center of the village, facing the old Church. The Church does ring it's bells occasionally, so if you are a very light sleeper, I'd suggest earplugs just in case. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and well furnished with beautiful antiques. Beds were very comfortable, and there's extra bedding available for colder nights. It felt pretty grand to stay here. The locks of the house can be a little challenging, it took us a bit of time to get in, but it is well secured and logically, the doors are old so they are reinforced. The only thing we missed was some basic amenities in the kitchen, like pepper and salt and maybe some oil. It would have been a bit easier to cook with those. The hosts were friendly. There was no information about the parking in the village, and the host told us to look it up ourselves. I think it's better if that information was clear on arrival. All in all we had a great stay. We stayed 4 adults 4 young kids.

The location was excellent -- right in the heart of Castellina in Chianti -- The apartment was very large and each bedroom had a bathroom in it. The kitchen was fully stocked; Washer/dryer worked; church bells were loud but awesome! Towels and sheets nice quality. Each room had a fan. Close to anything we needed! We really enjoyed it!
