Escape to this romantic getaway for 4 on La Maddalena, one of the most beautiful islands in Italy! This 1st-floor apartment has lovely views over the rooftops to the sea and the island of Sardinia beyond. It is the perfect choice for a couple looking to get away from it all and explore the lovely Maddalena Archipelago. The front door opens into a spacious living room, which is full of light thanks to the large glass doors that open onto a private terrace. The sitting room is stylishly furnished with a combination of antique and modern pieces, including a sofa, wood-burning stove and a flat-screen TV. The separate kitchen/diner is equipped with a dining table, a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and microwave. The private terrace has a table and chairs for memorable meals al fresco as well as a sofa where guests can relax and enjoy the view. Sleeping As with the living area, the bedroom is furnished with old and new pieces. There is a comfortable double bedroom, extensive wardrobes, a chest of drawers and French windows that lead out onto the balcony. Extra: In the living room there is a double sofa bed. The island offers a varied landscape composed of granite outcrops, small bays, beaches and rolling hills as well as sparkling clear waters, which are ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. The island is famous for its natural beauty, such as Spalmatore Beach (7-minute drive), the fjord of Cala Francese (13 minutes) and the Via Padule (8 minutes) which leads to the Eagle's Nest and Punta Tegge. To the north are the beaches of Bassa Trinita (8 minutes), Cala Lunga (11 minutes) and Monti d’Arena (8 minutes), famous for their white dunes and wind-sculpted rocks. The archipelago has an interesting history, including its stand against Napoleon and as the final home of the Italian hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, who lived and died on the island of Caprera, joined to Maddelena by a bridge - Passo della Moneta. The town of La Maddalena, the only one in the archipelago, has grocery stores, restaurants and bars to suit all budgets. The weekly Wednesday market is the best place to pick up local ingredients to cook at home. The car ferry for La Maddalena leaves from Palau, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Olbia airport, if you are hiring a car locally. If you are bringing your own car, then Palau port is 1 hour and 25 minutes from Olbia port. The port of Santa Teresa Gallura is just 30 minutes away. Both of these ports offer regular ferry services to mainland Italy.

We had a wonderful two week stay at Marco's Airbnb. Sofia, our local host, was very responsive and provided clear and detailed arrival instructions for us including videos. We also had some questions along the way that she answered very quickly. The apartment itself was wonderful and spacious besides lacking some cooking equipment. We were still able to cook our meals comfortably though. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking to have a quiet, peaceful stay in La Maddalena. We did rent bikes to make the trip into town shorter, but by the end of the trip we had returned the bikes and ended up walking into town which was a short trip. If we make a trip back to La Maddalena, we will definitely try to stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful place!!! Spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet and private - great location with a parking spot! And close to Acqua Sapone too. The views are quiet nice (not picturesque perfect because there are of course many other apartment buildings and what not around) - but you can see the sea from two spots and you get a great breeze from the front terrace. I also just like the calm colors and warm lights in the apartment - a very nice energy in this home. Very easy check in with perfect and helpful communication from the host’s team. Thank you so much for a really pleasant and easy stay!

The apartment was well equipped with a balcony with nice view (however, part of the view was blocked by a building) and a parking stall. It would be nice if laundry detergent, dish soap, and trash bags were also provided. A very good value for money.

Die Unterkunft war insgesamt okay. Sie war sehr schön dekoriert, aber die Ausstattung war dürftig (Küche, schmutziges Sofa, …) Die Kommunikation war sehr gut mit Happy Rentals. Die Wohnung würden wir nicht wieder buchen. La Maddalena ist eine schöne Insel.

Die Lage der Wohnung war in Ordnung. Es war ruhig und man hatte einen schönen Teilblick auf die Umgebung (das Meer und Hügel) Gut war auch, dass man die Waschmaschine benutzen konnte – auch wenn kein Waschmittel vorhanden war. Das Bett war bequem, und auch die Möglichkeit, das Fenster zu verdunkeln, war sehr angenehm. Ein sehr gutes italienisches Restaurant ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.Zum Piazza Umberto I und zum Supermarkt läuft man etwa 20 Minuten.

Bezüglich des Preises möchten wir darauf hinweisen, dass die Woche um Ferragosto die am stärksten nachgefragte Zeit im Jahr ist, weshalb die Preise in diesem Zeitraum etwas höher sind als zu anderen Terminen.
