Het is ook binnen 10 minuten rijden van het trendy en bruisende centrum van Nice, waar zich de beroemde Promenade des Anglais, verschillende glamoureuze stranden en het iconische Place Massena bevinden. Villefranche-Sur-Mer is vooral geschikt voor reizigers die willen ontspannen, diepzeeduiken en zeilen te midden van de typische prachtige omgeving van de Alpes-Provence-Cote d'Azur. Bovendien zijn, met de oude stad binnen handbereik, de barok-Italiaanse kerk van St. Michael en de gerestaureerde St. Peter's kapel met beroemde muurschilderingen van Jean Cocteau ook gemakkelijk te bereiken. Maar voor een rijkere en elitaire ervaring ligt Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, een rustig dorpje net buiten Villefranche, op slechts 10 minuten rijden. Het resort dorp, Beaulieu-Sur-Mer, en Eze zijn ook ongeveer dezelfde afstand van hier. De dichtstbijzijnde internationale luchthaven is in Nice, op ongeveer 25 minuten rijden met de auto.

Leo was very helpful on arrival and departure, and left a bottle of wine for us. The location is excellent as long as you have a car. I know some other reviewers did not like the busy road but it did not bother us and was very convenient. A supermarket, boulangerie and restaurant were within 200 yds Bathroom was very good and clean Bed and sofa were both very comfortable

There was an overall lack of care and maintenance to this property. Some issues were cosmetic, some had safety implications and have been previously documented in other reviews. The winding stone steps are in complete darkness at night. This poses a fall and personal safety risk. All three locks to access property are flawed and require repairs. The door to the suite does not lock without key. Dead bolts with internal knobs are needed. Smoke detector was sitting on bookshelf. Fridge is a complete mess. Cabinet door has come off leaving a sticky awful surface. The door does not close fully no matter how much care is taken. This leads to constant dripping and food getting wet. There seems to be an overall cheapness in the approach to the management of this property. It is clearly the mandate to maximize profits. Any thought of providing a memorable experience is non existent. It has the potential to be a lovely place to stay.
