Tucked away in the peaceful suburbs of Nice, this modern apartment in a villa is ideal to unwind and forget about the busy city life. Its location on the second floor and a sunny terrace with open-air lounging and dining allow guests to breakfast or indulge in an aperitif while appreciating the amazing sea views from the balcony. Inside, the holiday retreat is equipped with a bright living room with balcony access and everything you need for a comfortable and carefree stay. There is Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a fully functional kitchen with a microwave, coffee machine, toaster and fridge available for guests’ convenience. Reversible air conditioning is available in the living room as well as the bedrooms for pleasant year-round holidays at the French Riviera. It is also within a 10-minute driving distance from the trendy and buzzing town centre of Nice, where there is the renowned Promenade des Anglais, several glamourous beaches and the iconic Place Massena. Villefranche-Sur-Mer is especially suited for travellers who want to unwind, deep-sea dive and sail amidst the typical beautiful setting of the Alpes-Provence-Cote d’Azur. Moreover, with the old town close at hand, the Baroque-Italian church of St. Michael and the restored St. Peter’s chapel with famous murals of Jean Cocteau are also within easy access. However, for a more rich and elite experience, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, a tranquil village just outside of Villefranche is only a 10-minute drive. The resort village, Beaulieu-Sur-Mer, and Eze are also about the same distance from here. The closest international airport is in Nice, approximately a 25-minute car ride away.

Leo was very helpful on arrival and departure, and left a bottle of wine for us. The location is excellent as long as you have a car. I know some other reviewers did not like the busy road but it did not bother us and was very convenient. A supermarket, boulangerie and restaurant were within 200 yds Bathroom was very good and clean Bed and sofa were both very comfortable

There was an overall lack of care and maintenance to this property. Some issues were cosmetic, some had safety implications and have been previously documented in other reviews. The winding stone steps are in complete darkness at night. This poses a fall and personal safety risk. All three locks to access property are flawed and require repairs. The door to the suite does not lock without key. Dead bolts with internal knobs are needed. Smoke detector was sitting on bookshelf. Fridge is a complete mess. Cabinet door has come off leaving a sticky awful surface. The door does not close fully no matter how much care is taken. This leads to constant dripping and food getting wet. There seems to be an overall cheapness in the approach to the management of this property. It is clearly the mandate to maximize profits. Any thought of providing a memorable experience is non existent. It has the potential to be a lovely place to stay.
